About the studio
I'm Ibeya Allf, a multidisciplinary artist and designer with deep roots in science and a passion for cultivating curiosity, wonder, and connection to the natural world. My work brings together the analytical rigor of my academic training in astrophysics, the human-centered perspective developed through years as a science educator, and the visual thinking shaped by a lifelong practice in art and design. Based in the foothills outside Denver, Colorado, I continue to learn from nature's regenerative, collaborative, and abundant ways of being.
At the heart of my work is the belief that awe is a bridge to the natural world. When we are moved by nature's beauty, we become more attentive to it, more curious about it, and ultimately more inclined to care for it.
I create immersive sculptural environments that invite curiosity, playfulness, comfort, and quiet moments of discovery. Inspired by ecological phenomena, from the soft glow of glowworms to the shimmering movement of aspen leaves, I explore how light, texture, and form can evoke the wonder we experience outdoors. Whenever possible, I work with natural, reclaimed, and bio-based materials, embracing cyclical processes and seeking to align my creative practice with the regenerative rhythms of nature.
